Hi! My name is Archana Ridner and Welcome to the Ridner Design Blog! I am so very excited and nervous (plus a gazillion other feelings) to be starting this blog. But after so many friends and family who have been encouraging me (more like pestering me ;)), I have decided to cast all caution to the wind and jump in with both feet! You know how it is. You always say you will do it eventually, but of course it never happens. For me, it has been a New Yearsβ resolution for the past 3 years, and this year I said βI am going TO DO THIS!β. So go grab some coffee, pull up a chair, and here we go!
So who am I? And what is this blog all about? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up and still live in the California Bay Area. I have definitely been spoiled with the world-famous California weather and canβt picture myself living anywhere else. I mean who wouldnβt? I started my career as a Software Engineer and moved into Product Marketing. It has always been a hobby of mine to design the best interiors and events for family & friends. I have always loved design and everything to do with it. So what started as a hobby is now my life and I couldnβt be happier. Even though I took a side route to get where I am today, I can honestly say that I do still use my skills from my Engineering and Marketing past. I think it is where my OCD for symmetry and patterns stems from. Also, Iβve got pretty mad math skills that come in handy for sure! This blog will be everything that is design in my life. From designing homes, to boutique companies, and even events! I love it all! And I hope you will too!

Some Fun Facts:
Favorite Morning Beverage: I am a sucker for a good cappuccino. If you follow me on Instagram (@archanaridner), you know that I am obsessed with coffee and should probably drink less of it. Maybe for next yearβs New Yearβs Resolution. Yeah right. Come on, who are we kidding?
Favorite Food: I love food. I do not have just one fave. That would be like asking me to choose between my kids. I donβt have kids, but from what I hear itβs taboo to choose between them. I do have a weakness for pizza, tater tots, and anything spicy. And if I had to, I could definitely survive off of bread and butter and jam. I never understood why it was once thought of as βpeasant foodβ. Are you kidding me? Sign me up!!
Secret Super-hero Talent: I can make churros like nobodyβs business.
Secret Obsessions: All types of pretty serveware & drinkware (like coffee mugs, plates, glasses, etc). I buy them and hide them from my husband so he wonβt catch on that I own way more than necessary. Hopefully he doesnβt read this ;).
Well...thatβs me! I hope you enjoy what is to come! Happy Designing!!
